Proven Trip Design

The Bourgault Spring Trip Assembly is designed for a wide operational range
The Bourgault Spring Trip Assembly is designed for a wide operational range.
  • Choose between the 330 lb (150 kg) or 450 LB (204 kg) HD trip options.

Bourgault Spring Trip Configurations

Where many of the competitor’s systems ride up on top of the ground, the Bourgault Spring Trip cushion design utilizes increasing force geometry to deliver a consistent operating depth.

The 330 lb spring trip works well for seeding in most conditions with smaller openers.

  • The 330 lb (150 kg) Spring Trip Assembly incorporates a 1" (25 mm); pivot protected with a greaseless nylon bushing and a 1" x 2" (25 x 51 mm); shank.
  • This trip works well for seeding in most conditions with smaller openers. It can also be the correct choice for primary tillage in lighter soils.

The 450 lb trip is best suited when the tillage unit may be used periodically for heavy tillage operations.

  • The 450 lb (204 kg) HD Spring Trip Assembly incorporates a 1" pivot protected with a greaseless nylon bushing and a 1¼" x 2" (32 x 51 mm); to 1" x 2" (25 x 51 mm); tapered shank, which is 55% stronger than a 1" (25 mm); shank
  • The 450 lb (204 kg) HD trip is best suited for heavy tillage operations, or for use as a seeding unit in heavy soils when something other than a low disturbance opener is used.

HVB™ III TYNE ASSEMBLY

Hydraulic Variable Breakout For Trip Tension Control

The HVB™ III tyne option incorporates an advanced and durable hydraulic system that provides farmers convenient on-the-go trip tension control.

The HVB™ III tyne option incorporates an advanced and durable hydraulic system that provides farmers convenient on-the-go trip tension control.  Heavy-duty tapered shanks and an advanced and durable hydraulic network will provide you simple and trouble-free operation for many seasons.

The HVB III HD will provide a maximum of 470 kg (1,000 lb) breakout force when operating at 1,600 psi pressure

Easily Adjust to Suit the Conditions From the Seat of Your Tractor

You have unprecedented control of your seeding results by easily adjusting the machine to suit the conditions of each paddock from the seat of your tractor.

You have unprecedented control of your seeding results by easily adjusting the machine to suit the conditions of each paddock from the seat of your tractor.  This will ensure that a consistent seeding tillage depth can be maintained without incurring excessive stress and wear on implement components.

You can easily set the optimal break out point, with the Bourgault HVB™ system;

  • With the depth control circuit in the transport position, engage the HVB™ circuit remote and charge the accumulator(s).
  • Set the system to a starting pressure point while referencing the HVB™ pressure gauge on the front rank of the implement.
  • Once the HVB™ circuit has been set, begin field operation at normal working speed in a location with the most typical characteristics.
  • While observing the movement of the trips and shanks, reduce the HVB™ circuit pressure in small increments using the tractor hydraulic remote until only slight tripping movement is observed.
  • Next, add about 50 psi as buffer for soil variation.

This will now be the optimum setting for the current field conditions. The openers will maintain consistent penetration, yet still minimize any damage to opener points and sowing boots when clearing obstacles.

Designed & Built for Extended Service

The HVB™ III tyne assembly incorporates well tested designs and state-of-the-art components

A heavy-duty 32mm x 51mm tapered shank reduces flexing and ensures years of trouble-free operation. Optional trip lockouts are easily installed without tools to disengage as many shanks as desired for seeding with a double row spacing.

This Bourgault shank has the industry leading 5 year full replacement warranty against shank breakage. Bourgault Limited Five Year Warranty

Advanced & Durable Hydraulics

The HVB™ III system is designed to operate at peak efficiency.

The HVB™ III system is designed to operate at peak efficiency. A maximum trip breakout point of 470 kg is achieved with only 11 mPa system pressure, which is also protected by a system relief valve.

The HVB™ system utilises a piston accumulator with a capacity of 20 litres. Each 3-section bar is equipped with one accumulator, and 5-section bars are equipped with 2 accumulators of equal capacity.

The incorporation of one-way flow restrictor adaptors eliminate high impact recoil when the tyne is tripped, and helps with setting the trip force, particularly for tractors with high flow hydraulic systems.

A Dependable Hydraulic System

Quality hydraulic components for accurate and consistent depth control.

Simple & Reliable

Bourgault incorporates a superior dependable hydraulic design, a high quality depth control system, along with quality hydraulic components for accurate and consistent depth control and long service life.

Bourgault tillage units are designed with master/slave system system to control the operation depth.

Dependable Hydraulics

Bourgault tillage units are designed with a master/slave system to control the operating depth (either single or dual-series). This approach avoids the use of complex linkage systems that wear and stretch dramatically affecting the depth control.

A precision Line Lock Valve helps to ensure that the working depth never changes during operation. In addition, the Line Lock Valve ensures that any tractor hydraulic leaks are isolated from the cultivator.

The Bourgault Quick Shift Adjust provides easy and effective single-point depth control.

Single-Point Depth Control

The Bourgault Quick Shift Adjust provides easy and effective single-point depth control. Simply loosen the lock handle and adjust the slide to the appropriate depth using the numbered scale. The slide is attached by the depth control push/pull cable to the master cylinder(s) which sets the operating depth across the whole frame.

The hydraulic fluid for the depth control is filtered going into the master cylinder when the unit is lifted

In-Line Filter System

The hydraulic fluid for the depth control is filtered going into the master cylinder when the unit is lifted. Contaminants are released back to the reservoir when the frame is lowered so that hydraulic cylinder shafts and seals are protected from scoring.

Direct Seed Capability

One-pass seeding is achieved while maintaining current moisture levels

Configure the 8910 for Single Pass Seeding

Configure the 8910 for direct seeding by incorporating the Bourgault Mid Row Bander® System and mounted heavy duty packers.

Excellent results are achieved by maintaining existing soil moisture, ensuring optimal seed and fertilizer placement, and spending less hours in the field.

When nitrogen is not being applied, or the 8910 is required for a tillage application, the MRBs® can be parked up!

Note: 8910s are compatible with 8000 Series Air Seeders only.

Producers can select a narrow seed opener to minimize soil disturbance.

Direct Seed with the 8910 Cultivator

  • Series 25 MRBs® - With the Mid Row Banders® fertilizer applicators placing the nitrogen fertilizer between every second seed row, producers can select a narrow opener to minimize soil disturbance for the seed furrow.
  • Adjustable Packing Pressure - The heavy-duty packer assemblies mounted on the Titan™ arms can be adjusted to suit the seeding conditions.
  • A Wide Range of Packer Options - Packer wheel options include:
    • 2¼" (58mm) steel,
    • 3" (76mm) rubber capped steel (semi-pneumatic),
    • 5½" (140mm) pneumatic.

These are the same 22" (560mm) diameter packer wheels used on Air Hoe Drills. Packers are arranged in small 4 or 5 wheel gangs to ensure even packing on seed rows through hills, dips, or stones.

Excellent Contouring Characteristics

Bourgault Tillage units maintain a more even operational depth through peaks and valleys.

Minimized Contouring Depth

The ability to follow field contours is related to frame depth and wheel position. Bourgault ensures that the front caster wheels are positioned very close to the front row and that the walking axle is centered in the frame. This attention to design means that Bourgault tillage units maintain a more even operational depth through the peaks and valleys.
