Information Systems Programmer

BASIC PURPOSE

This position will provide database and Windows programming solutions and support to a broad array of internal and external customers.

DUTIES:

  1. Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology.
  2. Maintain program integrity to insure confidentiality of the information being processed, stored or accessed.
  3. Interact in a professional manner with IS team members, internal and external customers to arrive at desired state solutions.
  4. Utilize collaborative thinking to maximize user friendliness and utility of databases created.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
A technical certificate or degree from a recognized course of programming studies is a must for this position
Knowledge of Windows based programming languages and procedures
Database Experience
Technical Writing

Strong Interpersonal skills
Good Organizational skills

Maintenance Team Member

BASIC PURPOSE:  
To perform facilities and equipment preventative maintenance and required repairs as scheduled by supervisor and/or production priorities.

DUTIES:
*Carry out preventative maintenance of equipment and plants, ensuring they are kept in good condition
*Requires shift rotation & some weekends
*Complete documentation of work performed
*Work on all equipment required—o/h doors, lights, CNC equipment, hydraulics, high pressure water systems

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
*Requires in-depth knowledge in at least one maintenance trade ( mechanic, millwright, electrician, machinist, welding, plumbing or carpentry )
*Minimum of 2 years experience in a related production environment or maintenance field
*Journeyman status is a definite asset

Manual Blaster Operator (6 positions available)

Basic Purpose

This position is for the operation of the new manual blaster on the Common Tank Line.  The successful candidate will be responsible for blasting the interior and exterior of air seeder tanks to the specifications outlined by the department as well as company quality standards.

Duties

Work in a team environment will be essential.  This person must respond to the needs of downstream customers while aiming to maintain acceptable cycle times that allow the line to continually flow.  The successful candidate will operate the manual blast unit to shot-blast tanks to the appropriate standard, inspect the blast quality and determine whether the job is acceptable for paint application.
The successful candidate will have a strong willingness to improve not only their performance but also how the job is done.  Blasting is new to Bourgault and the proper procedures still require development.  Therefore, significant emphasis will be placed on continually looking for improvement opportunities that would improve safety, quality and production.
The successful candidate would also play a large role in the preventative maintenance and inspection of the blasting unit.  Daily checks will be required as well as small maintenance tasks.
