Maintenance Team Member

 

BASIC PURPOSE
To perform facilities and equipment preventative maintenance and required repairs as scheduled by supervisor and/or production priorities.  A general understanding of all aspects of equipment and facilities maintenance should be present.

 DUTIES:
*Carry out preventative maintenance of equipment and plants, ensuring they are kept in good condition
*Requires shift rotation & some weekends
*Complete documentation of work performed
*Work on all equipment required

 SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
*Should be a skilled electrician, millwright or mechanic
*Should be at least a 3rd year apprentice
*Journeyman status is a definite asset

Purchasing Senior Buyer

BASIC PURPOSE
To ensure that all materials required for the manufacturing and parts departments are in place on required or specified dates.

DUTIES:
-To ensure all material costs are kept to a minimum
-Analyze production requirements
-Process paperwork associated with receiving and purchase orders
-Plan, develop, and advise on policies and programs
-Gather and analyze quantitative data
-Purchase and/or control materials
-Plan and co-ordinate movement of materials and/or product
-Use and operate electronic data processing equipment
-Negotiate rates and conduct market analysis

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
-Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Materials Management   
-Extensive knowledge of all aspects of Materials Management, and solid experience in the area (more than 5 years)
-Sound leadership skills and the ability to influence people, manage projects, as well as work both independently and as part of a team
-Readily able to establish and develop strategic relationships and partnerships
-Experience and knowledge in Lean principles and Practices an asset
