Bourgault Model 6700ST Air Seeder

Bourgault Industries Ltd. has released for limited production the newest and largest member of the 6000 Series Air Seeder line, the 6700ST.
- TANK & FRAME - This new A/S has four internal tanks with sizes of (from front to rear) 370, 95, 30, and 205 bushels for a total of 700 bu. The tank has 3 hoppers vs 2 on all other 6000 A/S. The 30 bu 3rd tank can be diverted into either tank 2 or tank 4 and can hold the complete contents of a mini-bulk bag.
- The front tires are 30.5LX32 R1, and the rear tires are 650/75R34 R1W duals. The tire pressures are designed to remain below 20 psi, even with the air seeder full of fertilizer.
- HITCH - The front hitch uses the same EZ-Hitch style as previous models, but with a 1-1/2" pin.
- STEERING - This seeder is designed with a wagon type steering which allows this large system to steer almost as tightly as the smaller 6550ST.
- The catwalk system differs from the remaining 6000 seeders in that it has a bolt-on platform at the rear of the seeder.
- CONVEYOR - A BATCO conveyor has been mounted on the airseeder and is hydraulically actuated for lift and swing. A wireless remote control is utilized for conveyor positioning, and the conveyor can be still be manipulated by controls on the frame in case of remote control problems.
- DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM - Single Shoot, Double Shoot, and Multi-Shoot are available with this air seeder. The Straight-Thru distribution system allows the metering augers to supply each of the distribution pipes with a short flexible hose. This allows the operator to easily change product delivery from a specific metering auger to the distribution pipe of choice.
- METERING SYSTEM - The metering transmissions are ground-driven through a series of interconnecting drive shafts to angle gearbox drives, which power the variable rate transmissions. The UHMW metering augers are protected from high torque damage by a torque-limiting device located on the auger shafts. Each of the metering augers are outfitted with triple sprockets, allowing a change between high, intermediate, and low range without the need for tools. Three tank metering will be standard due to the 3 hoppers.
- MONITORS - Monitor options include:
- Model 591 Deluxe Monitor - available for three or four tank configurations with Manual Rate Control, Cab Rate Control, or Zone Rate Control. Fan control (1 or 2 fan) is available with ZRC only.
- Topcon X20 ® Monitor/Controller System - features a full color touch screen and variable rate control program customized for the Bourgault Superior Seeding System. This option is available in three or four tank configurations and comes standard with auxiliary clutches. With optional components, NH3 or liquid fertilizer applications can also be controlled in combination with seeder functions to a maximum of four different products.
