University of Saskatchewan Sled Dogs Quarter Scale Tractor Team
The University of Saskatchewan Sled Dogs 1/4 Scale Tractor Team is a student run design team from the College of Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan.  Built mostly of Biological, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering students, the 1/4 Scale Tractor Team provides students with the opportunity to apply concepts learned in the classroom to a real world setting.  Students gain experience through technical presentations, the design process, cost analysis, and of course hands-on understanding of the design and manufacturing processes.

This year, the students have designed the tractor to have a “Rat-Rod” look.  It uses a traditional clutch and mechanical drive system which is a departure from the previous CVT driveline.  One of the team's main objectives was to maintain the same steering geometry as was used with past models due to their excellent maneuverability.
The team will be competing at the International 1/4 Scale Tractor Student Design Competition from May 29 to June 1, 2014 at the Expo Gardens Fairgrounds, Peoria, IL.

Bourgault is a proud sponsor of the Sled Dogs, and wish them good luck at the competition.
