Canola trials conducted during the 2025 Season.

Single Knife vs Dual Knife vs TriMax - Compare a PLX with PLDS opener, with different nitrogen placement and seeding rates.

Seed Rate Trial - To compare three different seeding rates of canola with the same fertility.

Deep Phosphorus and Potash Placement - To understand phosphorus and potassium uptake when placed deeper in the soil profile in a separate pass over multiple crop years.

Deep Phosphorus Placement - To understand phosphorus uptake when placed deeper in the soil profile in a separate pass with data collection over multiple crop years.

Soil Enhancement Trial - To compare a control to three different products, phosphorus placements, and total fertility package.

 

Designing Equipment Around Agronomy

Bourgault operates a 2500 acre research farm in St. Brieux Saskatchewan. Every year Bourgault conducts field trials which help understand the impact of the design of the equipment on crop development, as well as to provide customers and agronomists with recommendations on how to best utilize the Bourgault lineup of equipment.
