- Hitch with Attitude
- The center beam is designed to transfer fertilizer / air seeder cart load directly to the tractor.
- Two 8" (203mm) hitch side beams are fixed to the outside points of the mainframe to effectively pull the 9800.
- Strongest Chisel Plow Frame - The extremely strong frame design of the 9800 features 4”x 4” x ¼” (102mm x 102mm x 6mm) wall steel tubing members welded between 4”x 3” x ¼” (12mm x 76mm x 6mm) wall front-to-back members.
- Handle Maximum Residue - The 9800 RHCP offers shank spacings of 8” (203mm), 10” (254mm), 12” (305mm), or 15” (381mm). Each shank arrangement has been optimized to provide excellent residue flow through the chisel plow. The four-row design allows more distance between the sweeps and the wheels, which reduces plugging when operating in high residue conditions. The 9800 RHCP has two general operational positions: an 18” (.45m) regular lift range setting and a 22” (.56m) high lift range setting.
- Single Point Depth Control - When time is of the essence, the patented Quick Shift Depth Control makes single point depth control effective and easy. Simply slide the guide along the scale to the appropriate depth and lock.
- Stabilizer Wheel Option - Optional stabilizer wheels will keep the front of the 9800’s wings level and provide even penetration of the ground engagement tools. The adjustment lever makes changing height of the stabilizer wheel simple and easy.
- Convenient Tongue Adjustment - You can achieve proper tongue height regardless of draw bar height or operating depth with the hitch height adjustment mount. The hitch height adjustment mount can be flipped for more ground clearance when tilling deep. Quick hitch tongue adjustment is done using lynch pins that retain the large 1½” (38mm) hitch tongue pins.
- Side-to-Side Adjustment - Height adjustments are located on every wheel cylinder. The top cylinder mount has two positions:
- Regular Lift Setting provides an 18” (46cm) lift range requiring only 1800 p.s.i oil pressure.
- High Pressure Setting provides a generous 22” (56cm) lift range & requires 2250 p.s.i. (15,500 kPa) oil pressure.
- Dependable Hydraulics - Bourgault tillage units are designed with a master - slave system to control the operating depth (either single or dual-series). The hydraulic fluid for the depth control is filtered going into the master cylinder when the unit is lifted.
