4710 Air Coulter Drill

The 4710 Air Coulter Drill

The 4710 Air Coulter Drill used a unique seed placing, fertilizer side-banding and packing configuration for optimum seed and fertilizer placement.

  • Offered on a 6-3/4" row spacing and 40½' working width;
  • Extra heavy duty construction provides more than enough weight to push the coulters through the hardest soils.
  • Pivoting axles allow uniform tire loading in transport.

The large 14Lx 16.1 rib implement tires provide excellent floatation.

Ultimate in Direct Seeding Technology

  • The 4710 Coulter Drill features extra heavy duty construction, applying an force of 236 lbs. on each coulter assembly.
  • Dual 14Lx 16.1SL rib implement tires, mounted on a pivoting axle, follow crowned roads to evenly distribute the implement's weight over all tires.  Pivoting axles allow uniform tire loading in transport.

4710 Coulter Assembly

Large 18" diameter coulters are the optimum diameter for cutting through straw.
  • Large 18" diameter seed opener coulters;
  • Seed coulters positioned directly behind the front castering wheels for precise seed placement;
  • Extra Heavy Duty Coulter Hubs and Spindles.

The seed coulters are located directly behind the front castering wheels to ensure the most precise seed placement in the industry.

The Ultimate in Direct Seeding Technology

  • The 4710 trip assemblies utilize 18" dia (.46m) coulter discs and provide an average down force per coulter of 236 lbs. (107.05 kg). A 1250 lb. rating on hubs and spindles ensure trouble free operation for many seasons.
  • Wear resistant mud scrapers are spring loaded to keep the disc clean at all times.
  • Packer wheels consist of 2" (50mm) x 21-3/8" (.54m) dia. 11 gauge steel, overlapped on the packing face.
  • Each packer gang section is equipped with a 2-7/16 inch (67mm) diameter shaft and 11,800 lb. bearings to keep you in the field seeding, not in the yard fixing.
  • Depth is easily adjusted using the "QuickShift" depth control.
