Recommended Setup Procedures for Bourgault X35 Apollo
The steps listed below are organized in a recommended sequence for performing an initial setup of a Bourgault seeding system. The step-by-step format will help you progress through the installation at your own pace, and also to access specific topics if you are returning for setup information for a specific feature of the controller.

The material available below is applicable to all X35 software versions unless noted otherwise.

A.1 - In Cab & Implement Harness Setup
This section covers the installation of the X35 Apollo controller, and the harnesses connecting the controller to the ECUs located on the drill and seeder.

The interface for the X35 or X30 can be modified to match user level. It also helps minimize confusion by turning off unused icons. Three different levels can be set-up to accomodate multiple operators on the same system.

A.5 - Quick Start Settings

A.7 - Alarms
Alarms are provided as a warning if any
components or functions of the seeding system
are not functioning properly.
A.8 - Vehicle (Tractor) Setup
This section covers how to set up and access the profile information for the tractor that is paired with the seeding system.

This section covers the setup and access of profile information for the drill and tank which make up the seeding system.
A.10 - ECU Detect & Learn
Once the correct profiles have been entered, the ECUs located on the tank and drill must be matched to those profiles in the X35. The video is split into two parts for this procedure.

A.12 - Blockage Sensor Setup
This section covers the setup of the blockage sensor feature on the monitor.
A.13 - Implement Geometry & Timings
Implement geometry set is critical for the correct operation of the GPS and Sectional Control features of the seeding system.
When using Sectional Control, it is important to enter the correct product timing from the manifold valve to the opener. Confirm the timing and hose routing by performing an ASC Setup & Timings test.

- Developing ASC Timings is critical for accurate on / off times for seed and fertilizer and to verify correct hose routing from the manifold valves to the drill.

The air seeder is supplied with a remote control, which needs to be paired with the air seeder prior to operation. A spare is also supplied with the new tank.
A.22 - Inventory Management
Critical information including vehicle and implement profiles, products, field profiles, and seeding jobs are saved and stored in the monitor. The Inventory Manager will allow the user to view, make changes and export or import files using a USB stick.

Remote Support provides a valuable feature for those who wish to help customers or other operators with any questions regarding the setup or operation of their X35 from a remote location.
