Intelligent & Durable Construction (3320 XTC shown)
  • Strong & Durable- The Series 3320 PHD™ frame is constructed of 5" x 5" (127mm x 127mm) frame rows and 6" x 10" (152mm x 254mm) caster wheel extensions on the mainframe to effectively transfer loading.

The Bourgault Hi-Flotation (HF) option
  • Hi-Flotation (HF)The large 800/65R32 front main frame tires provide 65% more surface area than dual 16.5l x 16.1 tires.  The 540/65R24 singles on the inner and outer wing front caster wheels increase the surface area by 27% over dual 13.5L x 15 tires. The large 800/65R32 front main frame tires are 77% taller than 16.5l x 16.1 tires, and the 540/65R24 singles are 60% taller than 13.5L x 15 tires. 
  • In-Cab Packer Pressure Control- The Model 410 Control Box gives full electric-over-hydraulic control of packing & opener force from the seat of your tractor. Set packing force at a low 70 lb (30kg) up to over 200 lb (90kg) of force. One click of the pressure control toggle will adjust system pressure by 50 psi (345kPa), which translates into about 3.5 lb (1.5kg) of packing force for the 3320XTC, and about 5 lb (2.25kg) of packing force for the 3320QDA and 3320SE. A second pressure gauge is located on the control block mounted on the main frame. A manual adjust override is also build into the opener block as a backup to the electric control box.
  • Open System - Two Relief Valves - The hydraulic configuration on the 3320 PHD™ efficiently utilizes the tractor’s hydraulic system to adjust packing and trip force for the banding coulters and Paralink™ seed arm.
  • Optimal Fertilizer Placement - The 3320 PHD is available with the hydraulically actuated MRB® III nitrogen fertilizer applicators to provide optimal location and minimal risk in a one-pass seeding system. 
    • Hi-Flotation units on 12" spacing had the option to select the MRS III nitrogen fertilizer applicators.
  • Drill Control - The Apollo seeder controller system offers two different drill control features:
    • The PackMaster option achieves uniform packing pressure while seeding by hydraulically responding to varying field conditions. 
    • The LifeMaster™ can remove one more operation when turning at the edge of the field. LiftMaster™ provides automatic lifting and lowering of the openers at the field headlands.

Three Configurations


Bourgault offers the Series 3320 ParaLink™ Hoe Drill in three different configurations: the 3320 SE™, the 3320 QDA™ and 3320 XTC™

Bourgault recognizes that farmer’s requirements vary greatly by region, crop selections, and agronomic practices. This is why Bourgault offered the Series 3320 ParaLink™ Hoe Drill in three different configurations:

  • 3320 Standard Edition (SE)
  • 3320 Quick Depth Adjust (QDA)
  • 3320 eXtra Terrain Contour (XTC)

Had available in 30, 40, 50, 60, 66, 76, and 86 foot widths in 10 and 12 inch spacings.


PHD Seed Opener Arm

The 3320 SE™ & 3320 QDA™ ParaLink hoe drills are equipped with this innovative 2:1 PHD Opener assembly.

3320 QDA & 3320 SE are equipped with the innovative 2:1 PHD opener assembly.

Dependable Seeding Consistency - The 2-to-1 contour ratio means that for every vertical inch that the packer wheel moves, the seed opener will move ½” (13mm). This feature dampens opener movement, providing consistent seeding depth even when seeding at an angle to last year’s furrows, or through aggressive field residue such as corn stalks.

3320 Quick Depth Adjust - The QDA drill frame is equipped with a hydraulic cylinder and shim assembly on each front caster wheel and rear carrier wheel to facilitate seed depth change easily and effectively. 


XTC Seed Opener Arm

The 3320 eXtra Terrain Contour ParaLink hoe drill is equipped with the 1:1 XTC opener assembly.

3320 XTC is equipped with the innovative 2:1 XTC opener assembly.

Precision Seed Placement - The XTC Seed Opener Assembly incorporates proven PHD features into a unique design which includes a tighter opener-to-packer distance and one-to-one contour ratio.

Indexed Seed Depth Quick Adjust – Adjusting the depth on an independent depth system is time consuming, so Bourgault incorporates a simple indexed pin with a retainer clip with a adjustment handle for simple and repeatable depth setting across the whole unit.

3320 PHD - Hydraulic Requirements

Recommended Flow Requirements:

Hydraulic flow requirements are highest when turning on the headlands. The recommended flow allows the seeding system to be raised and lowered within two headlands. It should be noted that the recommended fan requirements are for the maximum operational speed (RPM) of the fan.

Minimum Hydraulic Flow Requirements:

  • Recommended hydraulic flow should provide minimal fan slowdown during headland turns.  The openers will take hydraulic flow priority over the fans.
  • If operating at minimum flow requirements, the air seeder fans will drop a minimum of 20% during headland turns.  This may require a 3rd headland to allow the openers time to raise and lower.
  • In typical operating conditions one or both fans are operating at less than maximum output levels, which will reduce hydraulic requirements.

Pressure Requirements:

  • With many tractors, maximum hydraulic flow drops off sharply prior to maximum operating pressure. By setting the tractor to a pressure setting of 3100 psi the hydraulic flow will be near the rated output at the maximum operating pressure.
  • The 3320 Paralink Hoe Drill has a minimum and recommended operating pressure of 2500 psi.

Coupler Requirements:

  • A ½” coupler is only rated for flow rates of 12 gpm.  As flow increases beyond this value, a large pressure drop is created across the couplers which in turn increases pressure requirements. The durability of the ½” couplers can also be compromised when operating at high flow rates.
  • It is recommended to use ¾” couplers on the tractor and implement, as this will greatly reduce the pressure drops and will increase the flow of oil to the fan or opener cylinders.
