Bourgault Dealers Demonstrate Generosity
On Dec 5th, a special charity auction, with all proceeds going towards the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan was held at the Bourgault Dealer Day event in Regina, Sk.
Over 300 Dealer representatives and their spouses from across the prairie provinces and northern US were in attendance for the day, which included a special appearance by Ben Heenan, offensive lineman with the Grey Cup champions Saskatchewan Roughriders. Ben was kind enough to sign a few items for the auction, as well as sign autographs and visit with the delegates.

The last item to be auctioned was a #65 Heenan team jersey, signed by #65 himself. In order to entice the benevolent spirit of the dealers, Bourgault Industries Ltd. agreed to match the winning bid of the jersey. Dealers demonstrated both their generosity and competitiveness, with the bids quickly reaching amounts that charged the whole room with excitement! Just as it was thought the bid couldn’t go any higher, another arm shot up with an even higher pledge. Finally, a winner emerged with Young’s Equipment Inc. securing the signed jersey for an astounding $37,500.00!

When paired with Bourgault’s pledge, the one item brought $75,000.00 for the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan. It was truly fitting for the Regina based business to purchase the local champion’s signed jersey, especially in a Grey Cup winning year!
A grand total of $81,300.00 was raised that evening, all going to a very worthy cause.
Thanks to all the Dealers who made the charity auction a huge success!
